Commerson’s Dolphin Watching (All year - Half day)

The boat departs from the Port of Rawson, a typical fishing port. We sail down the mouth of the Chubut River stopping at a small group of Southern Sea lions (Otaria flavescens).
Then, we sail out into the open sea in the Atlantic Ocean in search for the Commerson’s dolphins (Cephalorhynchus commersonii). We will watch them in their natural habitat and spend great moments with them. Likewise, during the trip we may observe different birds, such as the oystercatcher, king and olivaceous cormorant, crested duck, northern shoveller, and kelp and brown-hooded gull. Depending on the time of year, we can view different species of tern, night black crowned herons, ruddy-headed geese and black skimmers, among others.
Bilingual staff and a guide specialized on marine wildlife will be on board throughout the trip.
Navigation will be subject to the prevailing hydro-climate conditions. Nowadays, the weather can be monitored by means of accurate Internet satellite forecast one day in advance.
This boat tour is suitable for people of all ages, since it is carried out only in good weather conditions.
